What I liked

The other team members were really kind and supportive.

What I wish was different

Honestly I wish I had applied to be solely a cashier or a hardlines team member. The position requires a lot of physical effort and a lot of flexibility.

Advice

Prepare to be really tired after 8 hour shifts. Also make sure to prioritize keeping cart corrals inside the store full, even if people are requesting help elsewhere (salvage, garbage removal, etc).

Cashier

July - September 2018 • Westwood, CA

What I liked

The working environment for the most part was very welcoming and easy to integrate into. As a cashier, the types of work assignments varied.

What I wish was different

When school started, the hours weren't really flexible around my busy school schedule. The commute to Westwood was also difficult to factor into my busy life, so a more flexible schedule would have been desirable.
